LOL @ apple still playing catch up. As soon as that...thing....launches it will be obsolete just like all the other novelty crap apple suckers people into buying.

5. betterThanS4 posted on 3 10
its a lot better than what the s4 will bring... from the looks of it the s4 will have the snapdragon 600 which the LG optimus pro will have been out. meanwhile the iphone will have 4 quad based. and a killer gpu unlike that bs pos adreno.

9. PhoneArenaUser posted on 6 2
No it is not better because it is FAKE!

sh33ps in denial and please tell me if there is any gpu in any android that will come out this year that can beat this... unlikely especially the s4 with crapdragon adreno 320 Hahahaha

Woah. Why do you people with somewhat primitive and inferior minds argue and insult things for basically stupid reasons? Your just jealous. Know your place, little kid.Next time when your CEO of Samsung or Apple, then you can say Crapdragon. PS: Snapdragon's CPUs' is by far MUCH better than Apple chips. f**king stupid fanboy. Pisses me off..

29. PhenomFaz posted on 1 0
Not to troll or hate on your comment but the S4 will have the Exynos 5 Octa chip in Europe so I guess that negates the S600 disadvantage which the Optimus G Pro has except for in the States where S4 may launch with the Snapdragon but thats highly unlikely as Exynos now comes with support for LTE :)
Secondly if Apple has pushed the bar thiss much then itts really good because competitio creates better products but again this is highly unlikely as 5S is an incremental upgrade and Apple iPhone 6 or the larger 4.8 inch iPhone Math which releases 2014 start could have this processor as it will be a whole new line of product. If 5S superceedes the iP5 by this much then it shows Apple has become desperate to launch A-grade next-gen components in their incremental upgrades instead of flagships therefore causing the flagships to lose their brand value and worth.
Just saying...

The Galaxy S4 will definitely not have the Snapdragon 600; no way Samsung would deviate from their Exynos chips unless they had to, which they did for LTE, but now compatibility issues for LTE and Exynos are gone, so that won't happen again. The GS4 will most likely have the Exynos 5 Octa with a PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU, though I hope the GPU part is wrong and they go with Mali-T678.
Also, Adreno 320 is the 3rd best GPU on the market right now, only falling behind the PowerVR SGX554MP4 and the Mali-T604, both of which are only found it tablets with extremely high resolutions. The Adreno 320 has very impressive power for being available in a phone.

Says the one who apparently worships Motorola's crap phones. The iPhone works for me, mainly because again, it just WORKS, and the battery will last a single charge on moderate to heavy use through the entire day. Couldn't say the same for the Galaxy S III I had for just under a month...

"It just WORKS!!!!!!11!!!!!!1!!1"
LMAO. How many patches did they releas last week to fix what "just works" on the iphone again? refresh my memory.
Also how is apple maps treating you? You know apple maps right? That program apple built that STILL doesn't work? Oh yeah and the "do not disturb feature" that they never fixed?LOL

18. PhoneArenaUser posted on 1 2
For some reasons last week PhoneArena.com didn't announced about few important security bugs in iOS while about this bugs was talking majority other websites.

21. rusticguy posted on 0 0
But it still just works. PATCHES a few things and BREAKS a few more ... so it just works ... no more and no less .. remember now HW designer guy is looking after SW also so what more do you expect? Poor fellow is busy decorating his 17 milion home that he bought ... but they are still not able to fix the MS Exchange issue so yea it still just works :D

It's not uncommon for iBashers to hate Apple products. However, the iPhones remain the best selling smartphones for those on expensive 2-year contracts.
If you want an android product, they go for as little as $40 to $70. Just wait for Virgin Mobile to have a sale or just walk into any WalMart.
Android devices sell well because they are cheap products.
These are basic facts.

23. rusticguy posted on 2 1
Huh .... and still SIII closed in on Web Traffic on chichitata bata right? C'mon get over that "Sells because it's cheap" idea ... :)

32. Berzerk000 posted on 1 0
I see many more high end Android devices in people's hands than low end. I know about... 4 people who have cheap/low end Android phones, and the rest I've seen have high end phones like the Razr line and Galaxy S2 and 3. I've even spotted a few Note II's and a DNA.
Actually, I've seen more people buy older iPhone's because they're cheap now than cheap Android phones. The iPhone 4/4S dropped in price (the 4 being practically free), and I've seen a lot more of them lately than iPhone 5's. Come to think of it, I only know 2 people with an iPhone 5, and haven't seen any outside of that.

I may get some thumbs down for this but I don't care..I hope apple knows that will all that processing power, it can easily manage live notifying icons instead of the static one. In fact, IOS is in serious need of an overhaul especially for the iPad.....I hope the next set of apple devices are so cutting edge they fit the price....

3. PhoneArenaUser posted on 6 2
Why need quad-core CPU if iOS even don't have a multitasking...

12. Droiddoes posted on 5 4
Exactly. I didn't know a glorified app launcher needs 4 cores to run it LOL

22. ardent1 posted on 0 4
Why are cheap android devices acceptable as app launchers, but expensive iPhones aren't acceptable as app launchers?
Btw, MS-Dos, Windows 3.1, Windows-95, Windows XP, Windows Vista are also examples of app launchers on my PC.
People who understand computers knows that an OS launches apps.

26. PhoneArenaUser posted on 1 1
You can call it as you wish, but the fact is that Android has multitasking while iOS not. :)

24. rusticguy posted on 0 0
Because that's huge innovation ... of 2013 :D

4. AamirSIII posted on 1 6
the most controversial thing about apple devices is that the apple logo on their chips is actually printed by Samsung...

7. betterThanS4 posted on 2 8
does it matter? apple is going to wipe the floor with the s4 with this gpu

14. Droiddoes posted on 2 2
LOL. apple fanatics for the most part couldn't give less of a sh*t about hardware specs and couldn't even tell you what a processor does/is. All they care about is that shiny apple logo so they can fit in with the other teeny boppers, soccer moms, and suburban kids.

Why upgrade?
Isn't iOS and the iPhone absolute?? /s

10. datsyuk posted on 3 1
I don't like Apple by any means or the iPhone and am a fan of the Galaxy series but all of you saying it's catching up on the hardware end are just stupid. The GPUs used in the iPhones and iPads are top notch and perform amazing. The OS itself however sure, it's playing catch up lol. The PowerVR quad-core SGX554MP4 GPU is going to absolutely DESTROY anything that's thrown at it on a phone. I really hope the S4 doesn't use the new Snapdragon chipsets and uses the Exynos Octa which has the slightly older PowerVR GPU. Even the older PowerVR GPU will perform awesome imo.

15. Droiddoes posted on 4 0
In fairness it's not like they actually have much to run or manage. ios is just a glorified app launcher.

13. Tsoliades posted on 1 0
This looks like a killer chip. Apple makes ridiculously good hardware. If I needed this much power and liked iOS more, I'd love the iPhone.

17. Fallout09 posted on 1 1
Can someone say overkill? The app laucher (IOS) is just that.... an app launcher and will not see any benifit from this processor. Gaming you say? On a 4inch screen?

25. rusticguy posted on 0 0
OMG A7 will allow that ... touch gesture no more needed ... Just blow over the screen and pages will scroll , phone will un lock, make calls etc etc ... wind power put to use as a gesture ... soon :)

30. darac posted on 0 1
Well since iPhone 5 is already smooth and fast enough, let's hope Apple needs this processor to finally allow for true multitasking, live wallpapers and widgets :p
