We also told everyone around Christmas.? We had gotten married in May, so we used vistaprint.com to make post cards (cheapest place I've found for stuff like that).? We put a wedding picture on the front with a Merry Christmas message.? Then on the back, it was pre-printed with our return address, but I had it say:
Michael, Ruthie and Baby
Address Info
(and a little bit below that)
'yes, you read that correctly, our little one is expected to arrive in early August'
(with a baby footprint graphic next to it)

All we had to do was address them and add postage.
We hand-delivered many to family and friends (enjoying their reaction)...and dropped the others in the mail.? We had tons of fun phone, email and facebook messages as people received them.?
Not everyone noticed the details on the back of course, so a few weeks later, we announced on facebook too...
