palmbeachpost reports from Jupiter, Florida the town council will consider a proposal to close Whitehaven Seniors Adult Park and build multi-family rental units and a shopping center on the 29 acres. The developer, Jupiter-based FLF 1030 LLC, would be required to pay the town $336,000 toward affordable housing programs if the project is approved. Arrangements have been made by the developer to move the 60 residents to other MHCs operated by Lakeshore Communities. Those who do could receive up to $14,500 from the developer and the state if they have a multi-section home, and $10,500 to move a single-section. MHProNews has learned if the proposal is approved, a second hearing would have to be held, as well as a final council vote set for Oct. 16.
